Product Description

This is a new model co-designed with steel guitarist Robert Randolph. Inspired by an old 1940's design, we adjusted the scale length to our standard 25", selected a tone wood with the most acoustic resonance, made a slotted peg-head design for more ergonomic tuning, and laid out the position dots for better visibility when playing.

For the ultimate live tone and stability through amplification we used a Paul Beard spun aluminum cone, and a custom wound slightly microphonic pickup by Curtis Novak. The combination of these specific components delivers an instrument that both a lap steel and Dobro player can plug in live and compete at louder stage volumes while maintaining a great resonator tone with added sustain.

This Asher Reso-Steel also has a great acoustic voice that can be mic'd live or in the studio for added "Cone" Tone.
